Antique Victorian Ripley & Gowan Gold Filled Bangle Bracelet in Excellent Condition with minor scratches. There is also a tiny dent on the top side of the bracelet. It is not nearly as bad as it shows in the picture. The dent is a small perfectly round shallow depression.
In the picture it is highlighted by a light colored reflection on each side. It is not even noticeable in the one picture and only noticeable in the other due to the reflections that highlight it. It is not really that noticeable, and I doubt that it will be noticed by others when you are wearing it.
This bracelet has a hand tooled floral design cut into the front. The Bracelet has a small push button clasp release, and is marked, “R.&G. Co.” This also is marked “UST 500” hand cut on the underside of the plunger, see picture.
Ripley and Gowan used the R.&G. Co. mark from 1880 -1930. The Bracelet is approximately 3/8 inches in height. The inside diameter from the clasp to hinge is approximately 2 3/4 inches. This Bracelet would make a wonderful addition to your Antique Victorian Jewelry Collection.
